Straighten Document Photo
Fix a tilted photo of a paper or card: mark 4 corners, get a straight copy.
Fix a photo of a document taken at an angle: mark its four corners and get a straight, square copy like a scanner.
Make a tilted photo of a paper look scanned
When you photograph an Aadhaar card, a mark sheet, a receipt or any paper with a phone, it is rarely straight. The paper looks like a slanted shape with the table showing around it. Offices and websites often reject such pictures. This tool does what the perspective crop of a desktop photo editor does: you mark the four corners of the paper and it stretches that area into a straight, square rectangle with the background removed.
Marking the corners
After you add the photo, four round handles appear on it. Drag each handle onto one corner of the paper or card: top left, top right, bottom right and bottom left. On a phone, drag with your finger; on a computer you can also select a handle and move it with the arrow keys for fine control. If you get lost, press 'Reset corners'. The shaded shape between the handles shows the area that will become the new picture.
Output size
'Same as the marked area' keeps the proportions of the paper you marked. 'A4 paper' makes the result A4-shaped, which suits letters and mark sheets. 'ID card' makes it the shape of a bank card or Aadhaar card (85.6 × 54 mm). The picture is built from the pixels of your photo, so a sharp, well lit photo gives the best result.
Scan look
Keep the original colours, or choose 'Clean' to remove shadows and make the paper white, or 'Black and white text' for crisp text that prints and photocopies well. Clean and black-and-white are the same filters that the Scan to PDF tool uses.
JPG, PNG or PDF
Save the straight copy as a JPG or PNG picture, or as a one-page PDF. Upload the PDF to forms that ask for documents, or use JPG for WhatsApp and email.
Tips for a good photo
Put the paper on a dark table so the edges are easy to see, hold the phone above the paper, switch off the flash if it makes a bright spot and keep all four corners in the picture.
An example
A student has to upload a mark sheet for a college form but has only a phone. She photographs it on the bed, where it looks slanted and shows the bed sheet around it. She drags the four handles to the corners, chooses A4 paper and the clean scan look, and saves a PDF that looks as if it came from a scanner. The whole job takes less than a minute.
Private by design
Everything happens inside your own browser. Your photos and the details you type are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. For family photos and identity papers this matters more than anything else.
