Make a beautiful invitation card in a few minutes

This tool makes invitation cards for a wedding, an engagement, a housewarming, a birthday, a naming ceremony or a wedding anniversary. You choose one of six designs, type your names, dates and venue, and the card changes on the screen while you type. When it looks right you download it as a JPG or PNG picture to send on WhatsApp, or as a PDF to give to a printing press. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many cards you make.

Ready lines in Hindi, Marathi and English

Writing the words of a card is often the hardest part. For every occasion the tool already has the usual lines in Hindi, Marathi and English: the line at the top such as ‘॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥’, the heading, the invitation sentence, the names with the lines about the parents, the date, the venue, the programmes such as mehndi, haldi and the wedding, the family names and a closing line. The names, dates and places in the ready text are only examples. You replace them with your own, and you can change or remove any line. If you switch the occasion or the language later, the lines you typed yourself stay and only the untouched example lines change.

Six designs, each in four colours

The designs are a royal red and gold card with flowers in the corners, a light floral card, a dark card with an arch and oil lamps, a bright marigold card made for WhatsApp, a premium jaali card with a lace-cut paper look, and a premium card with an arched photo frame. Each design has four ready colour sets, and you can also pick your own colour for the card, the names and the other text. The small pictures of all six designs show your own words, so you can compare them before choosing.

Change everything you need

Every part of the card can be shown or hidden, moved up or down and made bigger or smaller. You can add up to eight programmes with their day and time, add your own extra lines as a heading, normal text or small text, choose between three font styles and change the overall text size. A gold foil shine can be switched on for the names and headings, in gold, rose gold or silver. You can add a photo of the couple or the family in an arch, circle or rounded frame, zoom and move it inside the frame, and put a small picture such as a family emblem or a picture of a deity at the top.

The text always fits

You do not need to worry about long names or many lines. The tool measures every line and makes the text smaller only as much as needed so that everything fits inside the design. If there is a lot of free space it makes the text a little bigger. If the text becomes very small, a note tells you to hide or shorten some lines. Tap any line on the card and the matching box opens in the form.

Sizes for WhatsApp and for printing

You can make the card in four sizes: a 5 × 7 inch card and an A5 card for printing, a tall size for a WhatsApp status or Instagram story, and a square size for Instagram. The same design adjusts to each size. For printing, the PDF is made at 300 dots per inch and can include a 3 mm bleed and crop marks, which printing presses use to cut the card cleanly. For WhatsApp, a JPG picture is the easiest to send.

A QR code for the venue

Guests often ask for the location. Paste the Google Maps link of the venue and the card shows a QR code with a short line of text next to it. When a guest points the phone camera at the code, the map opens. The code is made on your device; no link shortener or outside service is used, so it does not expire.

Private and free

The card is drawn entirely inside your browser. Your names, family details and photos are never uploaded, and nothing is kept after you close the page unless you switch on ‘Remember my details on this device’, which saves the text of the card only in this browser so that you can come back and correct it the next day. The fonts used are open-source fonts that may be used freely, also for printed cards.
