Loan EMI Schedule PDF

Work out the EMI and get the month-by-month repayment table as a PDF.

Enter the loan amount, interest rate and period to see the EMI and get the full repayment schedule as a PDF.

Know your EMI before you borrow

This tool works out the monthly EMI (equated monthly instalment) for a loan and makes a PDF with the full repayment schedule, month by month. Use it before taking a home loan, car loan, two-wheeler loan, personal loan or education loan to see how much you will pay each month, how much interest you pay in total, and how the balance comes down over time.

What you enter

Type the loan amount in rupees, the yearly interest rate and the loan period in years or months. As soon as all three are filled, the monthly EMI, total interest and total amount to pay appear in a box. Optionally pick the month of the first EMI so the table shows real months like "Nov 2026", and give the loan a name such as "Home loan" for the PDF heading.

How the EMI is worked out

The tool uses the standard formula banks use for a fixed rate with a monthly reducing balance: EMI = P × r × (1 + r)^n ÷ ((1 + r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the yearly rate divided by 12 and by 100, and n is the number of months. If the rate is zero, the EMI is simply the amount divided by the number of months.

The repayment table

For every month the PDF shows the EMI, the part that goes to interest, the part that repays the loan, and the balance left. Early EMIs are mostly interest; later EMIs are mostly principal. Amounts are rounded to the paisa, and the last EMI is adjusted slightly so the balance ends exactly at zero.

Why your bank's numbers may differ

Banks can differ slightly because of rounding, the exact dates of payment, broken-period interest in the first month, processing fees, insurance, or a floating rate that changes over time. This tool does not include prepayments or rate changes. Use it to plan and compare, and check the final figures in your bank's sanction letter.

Limits

The rate can be from 0 to 60% a year and the period from 1 month to 50 years.

An example

A loan of ₹5,00,000 at 9% a year for 5 years gives an EMI of about ₹10,379. Over 60 months you pay about ₹1,22,751 in interest, so the total paid is about ₹6,22,751. The PDF shows how the balance falls each month.

Compare offers

Make a PDF for each loan offer with different rates or periods and compare the total interest. A slightly longer period lowers the EMI but usually increases the total interest a lot.
