Join Photo and Signature

Put your signature below your photo in one JPG for online forms.

Some application forms want the photo and signature as a single picture. Join them here and set the size in pixels and KB.

Photo and signature in one picture

Some online application forms ask for the photo and the signature as one single picture, with the signature placed just below the photo. This tool joins the two for you. Choose your passport-style photo first and your signature second, set the size the form asks for, and download one JPG ready to upload.

How the picture is made

The final picture has the width and height you type in pixels; 200 × 280 is filled in to start with. The top part holds your photo, which fills its area and is trimmed evenly at the edges if its shape is different. The bottom part holds your signature on a white background, shown whole with a small margin so no stroke is cut off. You choose how much of the height the signature gets, from 10% to 50%; 25% is a good start.

File size in KB

Many forms give a range such as 20 to 50 KB. Type the smallest size in "Minimum size" and the largest in "Target size". The tool keeps the JPG at or under the target by adjusting its quality, and if the picture comes out smaller than the minimum, it adds safe empty data so the file meets the minimum without changing how it looks. Quick buttons fill in common targets like 20, 30, 50 and 100 KB.

Always follow your form

Pixel sizes and KB limits differ between forms and change from year to year. The numbers filled in here are only a starting point. Read the instructions on your form or notification and type their exact numbers before you make the picture.

Getting a good result

Use a recent photo with a plain light background and your face clearly visible; the exam photo tool can make the background white first. Sign with a black or dark blue pen on plain white paper, take the photo in good light, and crop it close to the signature with the edit photo tool. A clean signature photo gives a sharp joined picture even at small sizes.

Common uses

State recruitment forms, some university and scholarship forms, ID card applications and office forms that have a single upload box for "photo with signature".

An example

A form asks for one JPG of 200 × 280 pixels between 20 and 50 KB with the signature below the photo. Arjun chooses his photo and his signature, keeps 25% for the signature, sets the minimum to 20 and the target to 50, and uploads the result.

Separate files instead?

If your form has separate boxes for the photo and the signature, use the exam photo resizer and the signature resizer instead. They have presets for many exams.

Private by design

Everything happens inside your own browser. Your files and the details you type are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
