How to Turn Photos Into a PDF and Join Several PDFs Into One
Updated: 2026-10-18
Admission and job forms often ask for "all documents in a single PDF". You may have some documents as photos and others as PDFs from email. This guide shows how to bring them together into one neat file in the right order.
Photos to PDF
Open the JPG to PDF tool, add your photos and arrange them in the order you want. Choose the paper size, such as A4, and leave orientation on Auto so each page turns to match its photo. Photos taken sideways on a phone are kept upright automatically. Press the button to get one PDF.
Joining PDFs and photos together
The merge tool accepts both PDFs and photos at once. Add everything, drag the files into the order the form asks for, and press the button. Each photo becomes a page and every PDF keeps its pages.
Fixing the order and removing extras
If you notice a blank page or a page in the wrong place, open the merged PDF in the organise tool. Type the page order you want, for example 1,2,5,3,4, and leave out pages you do not need. To turn a sideways page, use the rotate tool.
Keeping it small
A file made from many phone photos can be large. If the form has a limit, compress the final PDF and type the KB limit. Scanning the paper documents with the scan tool in black and white before joining also keeps the final file much smaller.
A tidy order that helps you
Follow the order of the document list in the form, for example application, photo ID, address proof, marksheets, certificates. Name the file clearly, such as yourname-documents.pdf. Open it once before uploading to check that every page is upright and readable.
A worked example
For a job application, Pooja needs her Aadhaar (a PDF from UIDAI), her degree certificate (a photo), and two experience letters (PDFs from email) in one file. She opens the merge tool, adds all four, drags them into the order the form lists, and presses the button. The result has six pages. She notices the degree photo page is sideways, so she rotates that page with the rotate tool, then compresses the final PDF to the 2 MB limit of the portal.
Locked PDFs and very large files
If one of the PDFs is locked with a password, such as a bank statement, unlock it first with the remove password tool, otherwise it cannot be joined. Very large sets of photos can be slow on older phones; join them in two or three groups and then merge the groups.
Choosing page size and margins
When you make a PDF from photos, A4 is the safest page size for India because offices print on A4. With orientation on Auto, a wide photo gets a landscape page and a tall photo gets a portrait page, so nothing is squeezed. A small margin, for example 10 to 20 points, leaves white space around each photo, which looks neater when printed and stops edges from being cut by printers. If the photos are already scans of A4 papers, use no margin so the page is filled. After making the PDF, scroll through it once to check that no page is cropped or blank, and that text on each page is large enough to read without zooming.

Your documents are joined inside your browser and never uploaded.
